Shiboridashi Teapot (75ml.), wood-fired stoneware w/ celadon and natural ash glazes
This shiboridashi has beautiful subtle flashing and a nice feel in the hand. The surface was fluted with a saw-blade while on the wheel to create the interesting markings.
Perfect for fine gyokuro and sencha, but can be used just like a gaiwan for any tea :) It has a rake type filter built into the gallery and wall of the pot which does a great job of catching very small leaves while allowing the tea to pour out. The interior has been glazed with a celadon glaze that seals the clay surface.
This pot measures 3"t (to the top of the knob) x 2.25"w and at full capacity (without any leaf) it pours approx. 75 ml.

Very cute little teapot! Perfect for my small hands and perfect for brewing my oolong tea. The design is absolutely beautiful and feels nice to hold. Works as intended, amazing quality!
